I don’t think there’s any real conspiracy about the vaccine itself. If this was the case you’d see more resistance to it on the global stage. If China, Russia, Belarus, etc. and even countries like Syria are encouraging vaccination it’s really not viable that there’s something dark at play there. The fact that even counties that are basically enemies of each other agree on its medicinal quality is likely enough to dispel any notion that there’s something hidden and evil going on.
With that said, I do think the wider context is worth a***yzing, like how there were media hit jobs against JnJ because it was the cheapest to produce, and there are still lies being spread about its effectiveness. I also think some of the booster data is a bit off. Not in terms of “oh no population control” but rather “it looks like someone is trying to make money here”. The data is clear enough for vaccine efficacy otherwise. I do think there’s a level of suppression around side effects but I don’t think it’s because of a conspiracy - places are clearly scared about what would happen if the news was running 24/7 negative vaccination stuff given how important vaccinating is for repealing COVID measures and whatnot. If they were running news on what in reality is a 1-2% side effect rate, the effects would be widely overblown.
