What amounts of $ do you guys recommend for a first timer like me? Per coin and all that for the "Wallet"... I got coinbase. and they verified my ID.
Show me the ways. Excuse my ignorance if any
The smart answer is to drop a big lump sum while the market is still relatively down. But you might panic sell. Just DCA a percentage of your paycheck you feel comfortable in
DYOR on coins so you understand what you're buying. Generally the bigger the market cap the safer the investment (dogecoin the exception)
I think bond etfs/funds still have a place for older clients to mitigate risk and do better than cash (over 10 year periods)
My main issue with Bogle was his disinterest in international markets ( buy 40% of US revenues fo come from overseas)
I think Intl and EM are nice to have, especially during historical discounts (rn)
im not sure how i feel about em / international markets. from the data ive looked at it seems like they simply just underperform relative to US markets over long time periods.i think that there's much more risk in regards to monetary policy in pretty much every market outside the united states. I don't think people realize how far advanced the fed is.

It flip flops every decade or 2
1950s: Europe dominated
60s: US
70s: EM
80s: Japan
90s: US tech
2000s: EM and commodities (EM economy moves similar to commodities)
2010s: Large Cap US
2020s: ?
I would guess the next 10-20 years should be pretty good for small cap value, EM, and intl.

Commodities and hard assets
anyone use binance?
I just got an email to reset my password (which I didn't request), so I've disabled my account to be safe
Can anyone explain what clover finance is?
when its working it let's Devs move Defi apps over from Ethereum to Polkadot seamlessly, with full EVM support so Metamask works
bridges Ethereum tokens as well
edit: it looks to be on testnet looking at their Medium
Commodities and hard assets
If you’re assuming commodities, Emerging Mkts will also go up as well since commodities are the main output of many of those countries
I hope commodities go up so I can sell this gold in my bank safe
You think real estate prices will continue to rise instead of dropping? Real estate does vary city by city though. Already so expensive in LA (at least houses are)

Interesting, that actually sounds pretty promising
I wasn’t sure if it was legit or not since the price has been fluctuating so heavily, I’ll have to keep an eye out thank you

Caught a glimpse of cnbc earlier in the store and they were running a segment saying a large chunk of homeowners polled want to sell and 6 in 10 who wanted to sell want to move states
Obviously polls mean nothing concrete but this is the messaging being pushed rn it seems

i personally think that real estate will continue going up in areas with more live-able weather conditions tbh
like cali and arizona might go down in value in the next 20 years where as wyoming, idaho or vermont might increase significantly
im not a global warming guy but i think it will have an effect on a lot of stuff not just real estate
