It’s just what I learned when I did my first deadlift. Always felt the most natural to me too. I’m pretty sure double overhand is the most popular though

Mixed grip makes it easier to hold more weight

Could be a number of variables general fatigue built up over time, life stress, did you eat before, amount of sleep. Just try to get enough recovery between sessions and keep trying to progress you’ll always have days you’re feeling stronger or weaker

I do 6 days of weight lifting. For my “day off” I mainly do moderate cardio and some muscle endurance work with resistance bands
