15 lbs away from finally hitting two plates feel like this is going to be the hardest stretch

havent been to the gyms since they first closed last march, stopped working out for awhile but back at it
i got adjustable dumbbells up to 52.5 each theyre such a lifesaver wouldnt be able to do really anything without them
basically i just switched from using bars to using dumbbells for all my exercises and i find i still get a good/equivalent workout in except for some lifts where i could go higher but i just compensate with more reps
feel like most people could get by with adjustable dumbbells and a pullup bar tbh

so i am in the same boat you are got 52's as well a bar resit bands etc and i get the rep thing to like today i did chest i did 5 sets of it because when your limited to what you have you get use to the weight so you gotta push for more reps i sometimes take up to 2 hours or more to finish an to really feel that burn you know, also check out out athlean x they got good s*** for home works you can do also if you wanna add more weights to for like pull ups or legs deadlifts etc if you got an old backpack put a weight in there an do chin ups, i use that method for legs dead lifts to since 52 dumbells are so ez to do them with it, i got more leaned out though doing just with 52s what gym did you go to before
PUSH DAY 2 LETS F***ING GO
I WANT MY TRICEPS TO LOOK ANIMALISTIC THEY SO THICK I WANT MY SHIRT SLEEVES BUSSIN CONSTANTLY
bro why are all your topics locked and you always typing in caps
mans on the preworkout the whole day

ryerson i am guessing u of t? and yeah also one good thing about the pandemic is that it gave me time to workout shoulders i never had time for it i use to try an fit it in with leg day which was crazy, also with only lifting 52s it forced me to go lite at the gym i was just lifting heavy all the time now looking back i see it was bad so thats one good thing about working out at home because of covid

nah uwo
but yea lifting lighter has definitely helped my form and has prevented me from getting pains which would happen once in awhile when i was lifting super heavy
Finally back into crossfit, after a month or so of traditional bodybuilding like working out. I'm sorry i just cant do tradional lifting anymore it's so boring and repetitive for me, I half ass it tbh. But got both memberships so when im not feeling crossfit i have no excuses but to go work out regardless.
contemplating skipping leg day tomorrow been doing trap bar deadlifts too instead of regular on back days so even more taxing on legs. had to deload last week to not break form and legs not sore but hammy and quads still feel tight a week later
29, depressed, eat like s***, consume illegal things, do you the a personal trainer will give me some confidurence/

the discipline and accomplishment you feel after you take control of your health can be a positive thing that can seep into other aspects of your life. it’s going to be a challenge to change your habits but it’s definitely worth a shot. You still got time on your side 💪🏽
Worked out with an old head today dude put my ass to work
10 back workouts, 4 sets each, first set 20 reps then 3x10 after that
Wanted to tell him it was too much but I ain’t had the heart
