dude makes no sense for arteta ball whatsoever, y’all got Hincapie & Calafiori for that LB position don’t think that could get much better/upgraded on too much, at least in regards to the playstyle Arteta prefers. MLS can alternate there as well, left back probably the most stacked position Arsenal got tbh. why the hell would he need Davies for lol that just makes no sense at all for the system he’s playing. would be a waste of his talents & probably just painful for all sides involved, Arteta would likely get a stroke the moment he sees him defend… surely prefers a solid defender there & not a very attack-minded player whose biggest setback arguably is the defensive side of things (besides being quite injury prone).

nah Califiori and Timber play a crazy high line at left back due to what Arteta wants them to do when they’re on the field at that position. adding Davies allows them to actually have a way stronger back line than they already have and lockdown bigger games, especially when teams like Man City are countering and now I have to watch Saka drop back quicker than a defender and Saliba float outside leaving dudes like Haaland 1v1. also that rotation in defense would just be crazy to have to face every week lmao. he wouldn’t be needed going forward…that’s why Timber and Calafiori are there…he would be needed to securely lockdown end of big games as a Left Back, not a wing back
