They got me working with trellix, forescout, and tenable. Doing scans and sending reports to my boy who got me the job to secure vulnerabilities we find. Also helping out implementing letting users onto the network if they meet compliance which is confusing but fun to learn.

How many certs I need to get to make 100k easy

if you get sec+ and a security clearance you could get to 100k in a few years.

nothing worth attaining is gonna be easy.

Could I get an sec+ in a couple months or am I gonna need prerequisites.

it's basically a memory exam, there are thousands of people with it that don't have any real tech experience or knowledge.

@Bo_Ceephus My take get all 3 new Cisco CCST certs CyberSec & Networking and IT Support they are prolly a little hard than CompTIA but Cisco weight heavy in a CV, get the IT Support as your fist so you can get a helpdesk role while learning for the other 2. Get CCNA after that and switch jobs

Them companies feenin after you if you have CCNA and some RedHat cert

Starting in IT most valuable are in this order Cisco>Microsoft/CompTIA > everything else
Stop being lazy and get ur ass to learn for Cisco entry level certs

RHCSA and RHCE are gonna be the next certs i get for sure, feel like linux admins are in high demand in my sector.
