an absolute f***ing classic

not that she's a one trick pony, but her best songs really are her slowest so i don't really trip when people get mad about her pop stuff kinda missing (in their opinion because in reality..actually, lemme not get into it here)

but getting back to her slow songs- i think they're so effective because often the music is laying low in the back, and really just there to highlight her voice by contrast. and it's not that she's belting out the whole time but rather that the subdued music can allow her to go through a whole range from almost whispering to the apex notes in pitch and volume. and if the physical performance wasn't great enough, there's the fact that she's doing that to deliver (most often her own penned) great lyrics

I wasn’t into kpop too much on KTT1 but I liked a few songs here and there and would sometimes tune in but on ktt2 I took a deeper dive and listened to a bunch more kpop which was really enjoyable
