Edit: official press release gives some better context
The deal brings together a range of services including management, label services and publishing for global artists BTS, TXT, SEVENTEEN, NU'EST, GFRIEND, ENHYPEN, ZICO, Justin Bieber, Ariana Grande, J Balvin, Demi Lovato, Thomas Rhett, Florida Georgia Line, Lady A and more. With Ithaca Holdings, HYBE sets an important stepping-stone in expanding into the global market and establishes a global top-tier multi-label structure. Ithaca Holdings' market and industry expertise will expedite HYBE artists' entry in the U.S. market and beyond and solidify HYBE's competitiveness in the global market.
this comeback been incredible tbh
i think the only thing she didn't hit is the choom vids (which is unlikely ofc)

and this was beautiful-- it killed me

yeah it gets subbed fairly quickly at viki: viki.com/videos/1180537v?watch_marker=0
half the fun for me is watching it live but i might rewatch some parts since my krn understanding is conversational at best
for anyone who's out of the loop, there are 6 boy groups competing against each other
it's the predecessor of queendom (aoa, mamamoo, oh my girl, lovelyz, g-idle, park bom) which was incredibly fun and got me interested in most of the competing groups

this is probably the best visualisation of what it looks like on a corporate level that I could find
basically what this means is that HYBE will be able to use Scooter's connections in the US music industry to further push their artists, solidifying their place in the US market & the same can be said for artists managed by Scooter in that they'll be able to use resources of which HYBE provides, I assume mainly in regards to fan content. Scooter is now also a member of the board of directors at HYBE and technically has influence over how HYBE operates as a whole (though that influence being quite small)
yes, this also means that things like collabs between artists managed by Scooter are much more likely, I'd argue almost certain. This does not mean JB/Ariana for example are wholly under hybe in the way HYBE labels artists are, just that their management is under hybe (their music labels are still Def Jam/republic).
This is a massive deal though, like extremely big, in combination with the HBO deal, they seem to be attempting massive moves in the US industry.

thank you
yeah I loved queendom
though I love competition/survival shows in general, hope this is at least somewhat as good!
This don’t even make sense considering what BTS’ roots are 😠also wild to me that J-hope, RM & Suga are all considered pretty boys now taking into account they were widely seen as too ugly for kpop when they first debuted.
