U R and Wow >>>>
For me UR is the best song, I think it's the most Loona song on the album,
Jaden left them 2 years ago... that's why they had such a large hiatus in 2019 after xx/butterfly, which imo really affected their hype, although Jaden regardless was affecting their hype because he wanted them to stay as an "underground group" which given the millions of dollars invested into the group, simply wasn't gonna work out, Jaden's grand idea of wanting them to be "underground" really f***ed up the Korean fandom as well, so many Korean orbits left the group in 2019 because they simply weren't being promoted like a normal group, I have problems with how the group is promoted now still but at the time it was insanely bad, the hiatus after Jaden left led to the fandom further bleeding.
while this might be an unpopular opinion among the fandom, Lee Sooman (the CEO of SM ent home to snsd, exo, red velvet, nct, ect) investing into the group (the first group Lee Sooman worked with outside of SM BTW), brought new found hype to them. So what, despite being largely the fandoms least favourite TT, was their most successful song domestically as a result of the eyes that had been brought on them because of Lee Sooman's investment. The fandom really doesn't like the man and I don't blame them, I don't either, but I'd be lying if I said he wasn't very helpful in bringing new eyes on them after how tragic 2019 was.
Monotree didn't 'leave' the group, Monotree is a production team that works with many groups, I'm sure if bbc wanted they could bring them back on. It's more so they moved onto a new set of producers once LSM invested into them and somewhat became their creative director (on both 12:00 and ##), most of these producers being names usually found credited on songs by SM groups. There hasn't been word on if LSM worked on this album yet but I wouldn't be super surprised given the lineup of producers being largely connected to SM.
Considering new album, I want Monotree back just so they can show these guys what to do with Loona, because songs on & are good, but they don't give me as much of Loona fix as I expect.
japanese twice never miss
my girls did an eyes wide shut concept dead
was not expecting pitchfork to do a review for Seo Taiji and boys first album. this is literally s*** I grew up listening to as a child cause of my parents. thank god a Korean person wrote this. also glad to see them mentioning come back home and h.o.t. in the review.
the reason this thread even exists is because of this group and the reason this group even started to make music was because of their love for american black music.
There is no kpop w/o black ppl
