https://twitter.com/allkpop/status/1420579075316502531its so incredibly sad
each time i see a "good" post from her, i think, "oh that’s good, she seems to be doing okay now" as if it's a sign that any progress has been made
I think we’re conditioned from exceptional stories (as in stories about the exceptions) and media that people will finally become better and begin their new life after they've hit rock bottom. Even one of my favorite songs of all time tells a quick story of waking up in a hospital after pills and whisky, and the narrator has their come to Jesus moment in that instance. It makes for a nice sentiment, but little else.
The sad truth is it's not like that. Maybe you feel better, and maybe you find yourself with a clear perspective or can acknowledge the fault in your line of thinking that leads you to feel so terrible, but then something happens, or even nothing happens, and you’re back at square one. You can even acknowledge the clear perspective you had before, or recognize that ''I'm only feeling this way because of ___" but it doesn't matter, you’re just stuck there.
It's this reasoning that makes it so hard to read people's comments about "she needs to leave social media" or "if only someone can…", or "she just needs to realize….". I wish that it were so easy, but for many, if not the majority, there's no simple fix, or even a singular ''fix'' in general.
It is maddening to sit here and watch someone stuck in this loop. Im stuck only being able to hope that somehow, someway, she's able to inch towards an escape from it.

Hey I'm sorry, I hadn’t responded to this. BUT yes! I do- she's good! She really got the come up now that she was featured on that txt song.
Overall, I feel 2020 was the year of the self producing come ups with a lot of youtube artists and cover artists getting their break. I need to check on songree if she has made it or not.
Anyway, also, seori (and jae!) is going to be performing at the Heads in the Cloud festival in pasadena, california in november---- tickets go on sale today
Just fyi to you and any others passing thru and reading this
