Truthfully, im surprised this didnt happen sooner, but as they foind continued success, i figured their label didnt care anymore as long as they kept selling. I thought it was nice that they were ever signed as a duo, because obviously the product was jiyoung. In cases like this, ppl always assume the other memeber is the "brains" via writing/production responsibilities but overall its been quite the opposite for bol4 so it leaves u wondering what was she really there for?

That said, its still a loss because as countless gone-solo artists will tell you, its hard to just be by yourself. Having someone there whether on stage or in the studio, even if theyre not really contributing concretely to the work, can make all the difference in terms of quality, longevity of the career, and general happiness. More so when it's someone you have grown up with and has been with you before you ever made it such as in this case.

Heres to looking to May for jiyoungs next release. And hopefully jiyoon finds success w what shes looking for too.
