PresleysthesisA personal theory I have with why theaters are struggling with certain movies isn’t because of people
Not wanting to go to the theaters, but the marketing and trailers.90% of trailers released today are cookie cutter copy and paste garbage and a horrible representation of the movie. Like Elemental was a 7/10 pretty decent movie but the trailer made it look like a solid 3/10. And Teenage Kraken spoiled the movies twist in the trailer
Many trailers do suck but I don’t think that’s why. It’s home theaters getting really good plus streaming taking off plus covid

I cried at that movie
People always think that Pixar is the emotional studio but man when Dreamworks gets into their emotional bag like with Kung Fu Panda 2 and Puss In Boots 2 they really hit hard.
Dreamworks right up there with Pixar truthfully, they just never had a consistent run of greatness like Pixar did from 1995-2010.
