As a song it just feels so bland to me though

the way a lot of young rap fans go crazy for 808s and hard hitting drums is the prince stan with chicken scratch guitar work and sitting on the 1 chord for 5 minutes

It's too by the numbers for a lot of his fans. The stans prefer funky or slightly off-kilter Prince.
