I feel like I never hear MJ much when I listen to pharrell
But like the singing voice and the bumpy percussion/minimalist instrumental stuff reminds me of prince
have u heard G I R L?
Pharrell will die on the hill declaring MJ's influence but you hear Prince just as much.
At least we got this
!https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gdjEMW43JEEPharrell's attitude is more prince than mike but musically i don't hear lots of similarities between him and prince, the little falsetto/dry vocal is one though

You don't hear much of MJ's influence in Pharrell either. Outside of I Can't Help It (that's Stevie) and Human Nature? I'm specifically talking production.
G I R L reminds me of some mj s***
I wish we got that Justified MJ album
I wish we got that Justified MJ album

I wish we got that Justified MJ album
I doubt that was ever even planned apart from a 1 off idea and even then it was likely 2-3 instrumentals, maybe 1 song ready to go

Pharrell was cappin this whole time?
We sent Michael Jackson pretty much all the stuff you hear on Justin Timberlake’s Justified album,” he said. “They were all written for Michael…right before “You Rock My World.” Michael’s manager John McClain was like “man, Michael don’t want that sh*t! He wants the sh*t that you’re giving Noreaga.

Ik nothing at all but I just find it hard to believe an entire album was sent to MJ and MJ passed on all of it, it doesn't even make sense from a work standpoint
I've noticed artists exaggerate quite a bit when it comes to shelved albums or scrapped ideas, The Weeknd does it quite a bit
