Well, actually a forest would make less sense for a serial killer to stalk potential victims
I think
Like there's already not gonna be a ton of people in the forest
I think they would be more likely to like stalk prey somewhere else like a city or a neighborhood
Then after either abducting them they would take them there or even they would take their lifeless corpse there
So the most you would have to be worried about would be if one was there and just happened to notice you and went for a double whammy
But that would be unlikely really
If they are a serial killer that has remained uncaught they are usually at least somewhat strategic and they wouldn't risk it
