i don’t have any particular examples i’m just talking about mr morale as a whole

he’s not as sharp lyrically as he used 2 be & that’s fine.. he was already an elite emcee so him regressing isn’t necessarily going 2 affect the music that much lol

If you can’t pinpoint something specifically as evidence that he’s regressed, then you can’t really say that he’s regressed specifically when it comes to his lyrics.

I would agree he’s taken a step back when it comes to the technicality of his lyrics, but the substance, content and impact of his words is very much still in his writing. Him not being as technical is probably a deliberate choice on his part though. And as a performer he hasn’t really “regressed” either. I saw the Mr. Morale tour live and it was definitely a better show then when I saw him on the DAMN tour.

of course it’s a stylistic choice, i enjoy his more stripped back lyrics but that doesn’t mean that he hasnt regressed, it’s just a different style, it reminds me of when earl stopped rhyming 7-8 syllables in every bar & focused more on the substance & content of his lyrics

WLR being KTT's favorite rap album for the last few years has been hilarious cause that s*** is a two pack of ass on most days

it’s a dope ass verse of course but this was the 1st moment i realized he was on some different s*** lol

That’s a cherry picked example. Only song on the album where he’s rapping at that level. Probably a deliberate choice, the same way that Kendrick not being as technical is a deliberate choice on his end. Not something he can’t help.

A regression to me is Roddy Rich from Feed The Streets 2 to Feed The Streets 3. He can’t help that his music just ain’t as good as it was a couple years ago.
