I more so do not agree with how you applying the word regression. A regression to me is someone who is worse at something then they were before, and it’s not something they doing on purpose.

I feel like with Kendrick’s content and substance still being as sharp as it ever was, that they technicality of his lyricism being toned down by him is something he’s choosing to do. I feel like if he REALLY wanted to dip back into that TPAB bag he could. You right about him being on some different s***, but regression just had a negative connotation attached to it.
