When it comes to production Vz production it’s obvious Dre would’ve won, he produced too many classics for 3 decades.
Ye obviously has a much stronger catalog though so they second you start playing All Falls Down, Stronger, Flashing Lights, Can’t Tell Me Nothing etc, Dre is cooked.

@EchihamI’m not gonna lie to y’all…this is not a great first impression of this artist, as he grows a lot musically later on and on this album he’s a bit underdeveloped. But what you’ll get here are a few great piano ballads. Mellow, calm. Don’t really expect anything too energetic. The Paul McCartney influence is heavy on this one.

Prezi dont know where the confusion came from exactly. he acted like i said it was anything goes. and i sort of remember that exchange but i thought he asked me if i wanted to do no solo album cuts (so i couldnt play any dre album songs and he couldnt play any ye album songs) and i was like nah anything goes.

anyway i'm not mad at it. i think kanye had far more ammo either way and it wouldnt have changed the outcome
only regret i had was i should have pivoted to include No Diggity once i understood he didnt want the producer criteria. but even if i thew in no diggity i'm not sure it would have changed the outcome (although it's possible)
