I can see that I’m sure he feels liberated by it but Morale for as therapeutic as it is almost more depressing than DAMN. Him grappling with perceived failures to save and change the world and coming to that conclusion while likely healthy for him feels almost hopeless.

I know it isn’t and that’s the whole point but it almost reads as I failed, all I can do is focus on myself. Liberating yes but still kinda tragic. He wanted to save people with his work and speak to the soul like Pac did. im sure he wondered if it was something he was missing as a vessel or a reflection of the world today. Seems he settled on the latter which is again sad even if valid

DAMN is the very very cynical album, disguised under the mainstream assessable sound. You see glimpses of his true mind state on FEEL and PRIDE and it's not good.

Morale is him going through the painful process of trying to figure himself out and get to a better place. By the end of the album with Mirror, he found a new peace. An understanding and acceptance thats he's 1 man in this world and even the most powerful person that isn't a biblical figure can't change the entire world for the better, and he decides to focus on making his world on a personal level better.

Which I suppose is a bit of a depressing conclusion overall, but its better then being depressed and feeling like you failed to achieve the impossible.
