Hendrxx going out of his way to be objective about the worst Taylor Swift album is funny to watch

I'm thinking Taylor is at that common stage for many big artists where they have no one in the studio questioning what theyre doing.

I don't get the impression that theres a great team of people she's bouncing ideas of for feedback, I think it's just her and her bestie J*ck (and aaron dessner) writing a bunch of stuff and thinking its great without realizing theyre putting out multiple versions of the same song or an incredibly cringe lyric

with the subject matter too, there's definitely an ego element to making very personal songs that are almost identical and feeling they're all so great they need to be heard. I'm sure she had an ego this whole time but I think the unprecedented success of the last few years and being the cemented #1 probably contributed a lot. that plus her admittedly poor mental state/insecurities from all the breakup drama or whatever going on at the same time

It's easy to blame Jack but she's definitely at fault for the lack of taste being the one in control of it all

Of the two i listened, this is my "favorite" (dont think im gonna listen to a song of this)

Her debut album was literally song for teenegers i think this one is better
