Boring main villain. You would basically just rehash BBegins or Arkham Knight
Id be fine with that
Every single good superhero movie gets compared to TDK or called TDK of whatever universe or character
It left a long ass legacy that we still feel bro
Well it’s probably the best from the Nolan trilogy I mean
2 > 1 >>> 3
TGPII
Is great boring movie. It’s soooo long. It’s great the character arcs are great and everything but f*** it’s slow lmao
pacing is just non existent, you could trim out 45 minutes and it'd just flow way nicer
the constant back and forth with vito and michael is disorienting as f***
last act of that movie is such a fumble and kinda ruined the entire thing for me
it set up the penguin show which is the best piece of batman media in years maybe decades
i said my piece
Him becoming a symbol for the people and guiding them through the darkness .. instead of being “vengeance”
Literally textbook good character arc lmao
It felt good to see too. Kinda pisses me off the sequel is supposed to take place like two months after
Doesn’t change the writing of Batman’s character. The riddler stuff was dumb but in general I really liked the movie. Last act is weaker but semi necessary?
The scene with him at the end just saving people and girl doesn’t wanna let him go after he spent the whole movie scaring people he was trying to save
Actual cinema
highly disagree. i think the last act contradicts the motives of the riddler and basically leaves batmans whole predicament unresolved — if I remember correctly.
I just remember walking out the theater going “did they get different writers for the last act? did they communicate with the writers preceding them whatsoever??”
Id be fine with that
I wouldn’t considering AK sucks ass
not really but the fans of it do
if u watch it just as a movie or even a family drama/succession type thing it's really really good, if u watch it as a mob movie it's boring and confusing
the movie works just as a movie
i feel like a lot of the reason i find it kind've boring (acting is goated across the board tho) iis everything that came after it just took the good parts and made them even better, if i watched it in 1972 or whatever the year was i'd prolly like it way more
ahhh ok gotcha gotcha

it’s the best one but it caused so much damage to the image of Batman in the mainstream and other heroes

wish i remember what exactly about the last 30-40 mins of batman pissed me off so much

The riddler I said failed narratively I agree. But I think Batman’s arc worked. I guess we would both need to rewatch to view it from the others POV
Just please not another f***ing Joker
Joker prints money
There will be another joker

There will be another joker
As long as they don't make it a lady Gaga musical
it’s the best one but it caused so much damage to the image of Batman in the mainstream and other heroes
That’s all I’m tryna say lmao
Also the iconography of the joker has been b******ized to death since 08
Just please not another f***ing Joker
Do I have news for you

The Batman 2022 is also just the best looking Batman period. It looks dirty and gritty. Gotham feels distinct
In so many ways it’s actually the best depiction of Batman ever on screen man
