This is true, it’s why early intervention with autism is so important because if someone is none verbal past 5 they’ll never have the language capabilities as someone who spoke at a normal time.
It also goes with multiple languages.
It’s a fact, its literally like the whole premise of my dad’s masters lol

You can still learn the language at a high level and be fluent, you just wont be able to default think in it. You’ll always have to quickly translate in your head. Which can be so fast you dont notice a difference, but its a different process

Like living in a native country is being forced exposure to the language so its the best way fr
But i feel u can learn it pretty pretty well outside of it but at the end of the day u not using all the time so u kind of miss that forced 24/7 part + u kind of have to be really disciplied and motivated while living on a native country u have no choice
Luckily for Purpp tho, he is kind of in between he lives in a place where spanish is a second and prominent langauge + florida so he can get some of that

Ik what you’re referring to but honestly you still got a great chance at it till like 18 ish. The younger the better for it, wish I knew about this method as a high schooler
