Wrong. In the government, DEI was directly tied to job evaluations and considerations for promotion. If you hired a diverse staff, you were more likely to ascend up the ranks (and get more money). This isn’t even a secret. I don’t have time to find the source right now but it shouldn’t be hard to find a federal job evaluation form under Biden.

We’ve had programs that encouraged more diversity recruiting but there was no financial rewards for doing so, lol.

I think it is a good thing. Because these populations that DEI is intended to help are systematically oppressed to begin with, so it serves to even out the chances. I don’t personally mind DEI.

But I hate when people are disingenuous about what it is and entails.

Did you read what I said? A hiring manager’s job performance evaluation was directly linked to DEI. If they didn’t hire diversely enough, they would be demoted/fired/reprimanded. If they were very diverse in their hiring, they would be at high consideration for promotion.
