album really epitomizes the greatness of all the tempo changes in death metal. every time it speeds up or slows down its just perfect

riffs were always great to me but I'm just starting to appreciate the drums

one thing i like about metal in general is that great albums are always consistent because the style doesnt change as much from song to song as most other genres. like its all one big statement usually

one of the true metal heads i think

dont think they have any crossover appeal (no extreme metal does tbh) but def. generally appreciated as one of the main inventors of death metal and increasingly viewed as one of the best metal bands

with bands like Metallica or SOAD or Iron Maiden, you will hear about them more since a lot of people that arent metal fans will still like them. but something like this i feel that you have to be fully a metal fan to enjoy
