It’s gotten worse because of the platforms they’re easily influenced by that didn’t really use to exist in the parasocial way it does now.
And you could argue that it’s better that it’s not corporatized, but just like anything that is projected to the youth, that’s a misconception.
There’s a reason Drake has been so adamant about getting chummy with streamers like Adin and Kai
These kids in middle school worship those streamers.
