    Reason I ask is bc there’s probably a cultural difference in the way we approach financial strategy. It’s not the first time I’ve heard that Americans overthink that specific subject

    I mean I’m talking in absolute terms. Of course there’s some type of quality difference but effectively there’s none that matters. A $300 watch isn’t going to last that much longer than a $10 watch. It also just is pointless

    Well the point would be that the person likes watches and wants a watch

    And then the differences according to Google can be more dramatic than you are making them out to be

    Well the point would be that the person likes watches and wants a watch

    And then the differences according to Google can be more dramatic than you are making them out to be

    I mean I’m not arguing against what a person wants. People want things that are dumb all the time. I’m just saying it’s a stupid financial decision. It’s better to just save up for a watch that appreciates in value, even if that takes longer.

    Yeah just never purchase anything until you can afford to make purchases that are 20x the price of what you're looking at
