e tJust sounds like he’s bad at arranging his business tbh and feels like he’s getting taken advantage of.
I mean depending on the type of revisions you asked for, that could probably add hours of work to the project, so at some point you end up feeling like you’re not being paid adequately for your time even though it’s your fault for not making stipulations ahead of time or not wanting to lose business.
Like not that you should be responsible for that obviously, but maybe have some empathy and act extra grateful or something instead of s***ting on him
I’m not going to have empathy for someone who said one thing and is now feeling a way about another. If his business is bad and he feels like he’s being taken advantage of, that is unfortunate on his end .
However, it’s not on me to figure out what he’s ok or not ok with if he doesn’t stipulate these things upfront before agreeing to do the video. if you wanna charge per revision or have certain stipulations per commission, that’s totally understandable. It’s a collaboration after all. But not being upfront about it to get the first half of the payment and then saying something else when you had no idea that’s how they would feel is another.
If they had such a problem with doing extra revisions, then I’m ok with that. I will take my song and my budget to a different director who can handle it without making a deal about it.
