NortSo far, I feel pretty confident in this field. Nothing is too complicated for me just yet. Computers are just 1’s and 0’s, it’s math, expected outcomes. Plus, there’s a forum post for any issue you may face.

100%. I worked at a no name tech company when tech was booming in Toronto (so lots of better companies to choose from) and I was clearing 300ish resumes per day on top of my normal job. So 300 resumes got maybe 30 minutes to an hour of my time. Referrals I only had to go through once a week.

Yeah its tough. Even before covid there was a hype train for tech (there was a new "bootcamp" company in every city). Once covid came everyone had time to learn and thought tech was easy money. After covid was dying off people wanted to stay wfh and found out that tech was the industry to do that. After covid investors changed their outlook on money, they wanted to see profit now rather than spending on growth so investors were harder to impress and layoffs ensued.
