Simulation theory being proven real sort of solved for this too, in many ways. Like, if we are really just data then we are actually immortal because your consciousness becomes derived from math rather than from biological nature. In that sense, there is no particular reason for the data that codes your consciousness to cease to exist after you die. It would more likely reboot or get transferred elsewhere
