fuegoI think if you buy from Apple directly it’s mint. I’ve bought refurbished MacBook before and it was good as new with a full warranty. Apple replaces battery, sometimes even the entire frame/case, when they do their refurbished.
Can’t speak for other brands but for Apple id personally buy refurbished > a new one if the same model was available.
I would only do it through Apple
