because you’d figure they could make their own proprietary computer upgrades that only work within their system, as that doesn’t step outside their whole product philosophy, not to mention would make them a s*** ton of profit

Even if they wanted to make it customizable through only apple computer parts they'd have to spend time developing all of that and releasing it and advertising it which all costs money

Instead they can just release a computer, then release another computer which they would do anyway and shield it by being "simplistic"
