    WESLEYS THEORY

I mean he’s not necessarily wrong about a group of people who were wrongly celebrating his death

But he is wrong in not being able to look past or acknowledge his own personal biases for the conservative side of things

One side cannot be “the majority” who are celebrating Charlie’s death and the other side who make jokes and memes about George Floyd are just a “few bad apples”

Yes it can because that’s the actual case. You could say a lot of people on the right were arguing that the cop was innocent and the cause of death was fentanyl. I’m not debating that.

But actually being happy he died and making fun of him? No, man.

There is no fight Wes basically trying to say now that it wasn’t your average lib cheering and celebrating just "radical lefties"

There’s obviously a lot more nuisance to the situation. Some people Ik irl were a lot more gung ho about it but the majority were all indifferent idc he’s a piece of s*** yeah it was kinda f***ed but it is what it is when you say those things

Which I think is fine. There’s been so much outrage about people just not giving a f*** to mourn a documented racist piece of s*** in America

“You could say…” because that’s what actually has happened in retrospect and is happening in 2025.

I wouldn’t say they were celebrating his death but they definitely make memes making fun of him with a condescending undertone on the far right. I can find multiple examples.

Comparing a guy who everyone in the world knew about and knew his politic positions and views to an unknown guy who got killed. (No disrespect to him or his family).

Of course you’re going to get different reactions you’re comparing apples to oranges.

    It's not about mourning him

It's literally about the celebration and hoping other people in his field also meet their end

Man was rage baiting on a stage as his career ofc some people gunna be happy he’s no longer around.

Cheering for a guys death who you don’t know and who would likely never impact you or anyone you know is 10x crazier.

On my social media, I have both left and right leaning people

Out of all the people I’ve seen on Facebook and Instagram, I’d say 3-4 were leaning “radical left”, the majority was indifferent overall while not supporting his assassination and then around 5-6 were MAGA mourning him like he was some great person.

I not responding to anyone in particular ik you both mean well and just having a discussion I just think it’s a silly comparison.

There are actual left politicians who have been attacked or killed and I’m sure it’d be easier to find evidence on reddit of people celebrating it.

Your job was to spew propaganda that boarded on hate speech and was based on riling people up and trying to recruit more people to think like you at colleges funneling them into your propaganda program

I can understand why it’s a lil gross to some and even I was pretty surprised by how gleeful it was but I can’t say I don’t understand them either. This what a violent country and culture leads to. Complete desensitization.
