This is jerk off and reflect on life and be depressed type music
greatest hits comps are truly a lost art in the streaming era though
I miss them dearly
making your own playlists just isn't the same

sitting with physical media and a***yzing the cover/credits and album while you played it
forming that connection
I look at him as more of a peer who influenced his other peers then being a direct architect for the album format itself
The “album” as it is, kind of just happened and Dylan def played a part in that with how seriously he took his content and lyrics within the music, and other people saw that and began to apply it to a bigger picture outside of the single minded format.
i think theres no really one starter and its all those 1965-1966 albums combined
definitely is an argument to be made that Highway 61 was a bigger breakthrough than Rubber Soul ngl even though I'm not sure I would make it
Dylan's approach was more making a complete album through the lyrics, instrumentation, and consistency of quality. Rubber Soul and Pet Sounds took that plus the flow of an album and diversity while still remaining cohesive and leaving behind the more grounded folk/blues/country basis
Static can be DC’s answer to Spider-Man and it was wasted on Blue Beetle
DC seeing the success of Black Panther and Miles Morales but still not greenlighting a live action Static is wild
This is jerk off and reflect on life and be depressed type music
Only Jeffrey Dahmer would goon to this
I think @Camille would appreciate the synths on this.
I def need to listen to more slightly obscure hendrix live s***
Songs for Groovy Children
Live at Berkeley 1970
The Jimi Hendrix Concerts (compilation but a great selection)
Winterland 1968

when I did a proto-artist move and spent my school dinner money on CD's instead of food and on the bus back I would read the credits and lyrics and being engrossed by the mystery of what it sounded like >
