It’s just frustrating as an owner operator who has to come out of pocket for every cost on a truck, to deal with lowballing brokers! I know it’s them just trynna get their coin, but it’s at the expense of the people who are actually put in charge of delivering the goods

i was over there having lunch yesterday with my sister and my dad got an email from one of his employee's family members saying he had passed away last week and the funeral is on tuesday and i s*** you not this f***ing guy OPENS CHATGPT and asks it something like "how do i respond to an email consoling someone who's lost a loved one"

i was in tears

And one thing I hate, because I’m on both sides on Reddit of trucking & freightbrokers because I can Dispatch for myself & others as well, is that freight brokers seem to have no clue how expensive it truly is to own a truck. I know some truckers got into brokerage and they might understand (if you knew or were an O/O), but most of them cant even comprehend how much trucking INSURANCE is by itself.

Honestly, I gotta become a truck insurance sales person myself or a broker down the line.
