i was over there having lunch yesterday with my sister and my dad got an email from one of his employee's family members saying he had passed away last week and the funeral is on tuesday and i s*** you not this f***ing guy OPENS CHATGPT and asks it something like "how do i respond to an email consoling someone who's lost a loved one"

i was in tears

Oh nice that’s cool. My great grandpa did van deliveries until the 90s and my grandpa drive the big trucks until 2016ish and I got to go with him a bunch of times around the US.

He complained about similar things he wasn’t an owner operator just an employee but always issues with brokerages, getting paid, rates, truck issues and who’s responsible, etc etc.

Not a friendly world it seems.

Sadly there should be more friendly truckers out there, but this world can beat you down, especially if you’re doing long hauls like that. So I get it!

Also side note, god bless the youth man. You said grandpa worked till 2016, both my grandpa’s been dead for a decade +!
