you could start at 3 years old, have all the support in the world, and still fail to become the best. so who cares in reality if you have no chance now at 25 or whatever.

Yeah like a mega yacht is a waste of money and not even cool. Imagine preserving ancient orthodox monasteries in the middle east or like some Ethiopian rock buildings i love reading about. They have the wrong nerds billions
isis and now israel destroying f*** loads of ancient egyptian artefacts and sights :mald:
yeah but i mean who cares. if you having fun thats fine yknow. its about your goals and what makes you happy. not comparing yourself to something that is pretty incomparable (even if you started at 3 years old).
Well yeah, to each their own. It’s just pointless to me personally. If I pick up a hobby, I want to at least have a chance to become high level at it
Did he though lol
Asap rocky also lives with billionaire much more famous Rihanna
He would have lead with that

you can still become high level, just maybe not the "best".

99% of conservatory musicians are this story

Yeah man it’s so f***ed. Israel isn’t just destroying Palestinian stuff basically anything non-Jewish its terrible
im sure theres many many many examples of people who changed careers, started a new hobby, etc in their late 20s, 30s, or even later and became a famous person you recognize today.
me with wanting to play guitar

i think when im 30 i will actually do it tbh

Lil D***y dropped his first video when he was like 29

But it’s completely different. If you start at 3 years old, you have an entirely different outlook the entire time. Also, it opens up friend groups which gains you social skills and connections, etc.
Once you’re washed like me, all of that impact is basically gone

You can still become really good at things starting that late, but probably not music.

You too negative brother. You definitely could become pretty great at some things, and even if you don't maybe the journey would be fun enough that it wouldn't matter.
I'm friends with the kinds of people I never would've imagined myself being friends with, because I got into tracking cars in my mid 20s, and I'm definitely not the best.
I doubt any famous singer/rapper etc. started the craft at 30.

nope it needs to sit dustily in my bedroom as an eternal monument to my failure and shame

a high level on an instrument is hard to measure though
any adult could do the 8 grades of piano exams after a few years but what is that really when you're unable to compose original new music or vice versa. u can compose music really well but can't play it yourself because u lack the ability?
music or any form of art is a good ego killer and makes u realize how far apart u always will be from the endless goal
a girl once wrote to beethoven and asked him for advice on how t be a famous composer like him and beethoven told her
"The true artist is not proud, he unfortunately sees that art has no limits; he feels darkly how far he is from the goal; and though he may be admired by others, he is sad not to have reached that point to which his better genius only appears as a distant, guiding sun."
all perspective which is way art is the purest form of the expression of life and the human experience imo
Wolfgang Tillman or whatever his name is started music at 50-something and got on Endless by Frank Ocean

Maybe I’m too practical. Like if I learned to play guitar right now, what would I do with that? The world has no limits so I’d rather choose something fun but also more useful
