just finished a videogame scritchy scratchy, where you just do scratch off tickets lol and you upgrade your luck with your money you get. and then get like an automatic scratcher etc. until you become a multi multi mutli trillionaire.

its very odd. i was watching some streamer play it and when she started i was like who the f*** would play this.
then she stopped without finishing it and i really wanted to keep watching it so i bought it lol
its like 5 bucks

I have a deep hatred for scratch offs

Maybe a virtual one would annoy me less

But I see people blow 100s of dollars on those things daily and it fills my heart with hate and jealousy just based on the fact that they have this much money to blow and choose to blow it like that

It evens out because they have like a bad gambling addiction so I'm not jealous of them overall but I just think it's stupid to waste so much money!

And it's not even like one of those things where it's like "people can spend their money how they want and you don't get to tell people to not have fun!"

They are NOT having fun they are extremely unhappy and obnoxious to deal with

youre trapped by like a devil and you’re forced to do dishes or scratch offs.
and after you get to a certain amount of money the devil gives you a ticket thatll either kill you or free you. and everytime it kills you ( a few times) you have to start all over. but you get to keep some upgrades. and you gotta break free of the cycle

and you go from one scratch ticket, to another. you need a certain amount of or else youll lose money on them. and they get exponentially more expensive.

al the tickets have little things you gotta do to do them properly, like theres one you unlock thats a turtle shell. and when you scratch off the shell, if you fully scratch off a section with a plastic bag you lose money. but the plastic bag looks like a jellyfish (which is bonus money) so you dont know what it is until you’re almost done scratching. lol its so foolish

i know i HATE scratch offs theyre so f***ing stupid

The worst addicts are always so moody, because they are consistently losing

So it's horrible to deal with. Always trying to argue or complain and it's like I don't feel bad for you you're wasting 100s of dollars on scratch offs

And you can't even be honest and tell them how stupid it is

They walk around like an abused puppy expecting sympathy but they are the ones doing it

It's 100% because of them

I just can't figure out how someone is stupid enough to get addicted in the first place. It's like they win a single time and don't think critically at all about how the game works or why the game would ever exist

like do people just live their lives, knowing they lost thousands (or more) and just miserably keep spending money things they can undo some of the damage, waste even more money, then keep spending money thinking itll fix it.

There's a guy that comes here where even his family has given up talking to him over his scratch off addiction

He lost his job, lost his home, his wife, his kids, all over his addiction to these stupid scratch offs

He's just blowing through his savings until he's out of money or kills himself

people wanna go to a casino for entertainment with friends, have a few drinks. just something silly to do.
i look at it like the money you spend, youre paying for entertainment that night. whether you win or lose, youre fine losing that money because youre paying for the games as entertainment.

sports betting is fun! puts a bit of excitement into the game!

but man i agree like scratch offs are so stupid. and slots too. both of those are just an idiot tax.

i guess people like the potential instant gratification. but why not just take that 50 bucks you spend a week on scratch offs and just… throw it in random ass small stocks in tech or something. odds of u winning the lottery that way, way higher lol even if you let a goldfish pick the company

I mean the homeless people in the area buy the cheaper 1-2 dollar ones pretty often, just because they aren't the wisest with financial/life decisions

But the worst addicts buying 50 dollars tickets repeatedly usually seem like pretty normal people outside of their insane gambling addiction

But that guy I was describing spends about 500-1000 a day where I work on those things

So he must have had a job making decent money to be able to do that daily just through savings/whatever he does manage to win back

And I know he goes to multiple different stores and does it not just mine
