I did it once, the second time even as a relatively shy kid I straight up refused

So they threatened me saying they would have to shove a tube down my nose and get it into me like that if I didn't cooperate

was the tube worse or better?

The tube is horribly uncomfortable because you can feel it going into your throat basically

Putting the tube in/taking the tube out feels legit terrible too it's so uncomfy

jesus that does sound horribly uncomfortable.

ive heard of feeding tubes but down the nose is new like ew.

so you think you should’ve jsut drank it instead? im sure its insanely uncomfortable but at least u didnt have to taste it

tubes up my nose like that not the hospital is a huge fear of mine ngl youre a trooper

doesnt suprise me, i know how awful that stuff tastes and how much of it there is. skipping that sounds better even if its ganrly

im actually high and itchy this is wild the pills actually do work

It's such a weird uncomfortable feeling it's hard to describe

It like feels like your gagging but youre not until they take it out

And that's mixed with the discomfort of consistently having this thing in your nose

i can only imagine. your body damn well knows its not suppose to be putting stuff up there lol

i think they are per pill. i took 1 and a half and thats what it took for me to get like baseline working.

if i took 2 or 3 at once im sure it would be strong.
just expensive. becasue its like 225 for 50 of them.

so its like as expensive and buying a bottle of wine. which is foolish.

also comapred to the hype of it being “super heroin” and stronger than morphine theyre super weak.

theyre like id say subjectively, to me, like 2 or 3 times weaker than codeine.

If I wasn't in such a nice hospital for most of it the experience would have been far worse

It was a great hospital they had like people come around with games and gifts and animal volunteers and stuff

I was in there during Halloween and they had a whole little trick or treating event

children’s hospital units are so important to do up nicely.
all hospital units really.
but those in particular.

when i had my appendix out they brought me a tube tv and an xbox (this was in ike 2009 or something) and i played half life 2. also watched loads of mythbusters and anthony bourdain. it was actually a lovely memory.

having sick kids have fond memories of things outside of being sick is important. especially for kids that spend a lot of time in there

Movies you could rent, a little library that had some comics, a game room

It was pretty good outside of being sick

so awesome.

And generally the type of nurses/staff that ends up at a children's hospital are the best in comparison to a regular hospital

Even the food wasn't like regular hospital food

I was in a regular hospital for a bit and it was awful in comparison

i remeber they showed me a classroom for kids that are in there long term and sick. and i was mortified lmaooo

i was like my nightmare is being so sick in your the hospital and you still cant skip school.

totally agree with all of this.
except here the food used to be bad and cheap. now its actually really expensive but pretty good. lol

Luckily they didn't have that where I was or maybe they did and I was just too sick to be forced to worry about it lol

They did have some art classes and rooms for that

oh wow that woudlve been my jam, i never had any art rooms or anything in mine.

we did have an old computer though that i used to buy these super strong magnets for chirtsmas :)
this was pre iphone days so it was cool to get on the internet

when i was discharged, they wanted to leave the tube thing in, but disconnected from the bag so if i had to come back it was already done. but in my wrist it would really impact holding a controller and playing videogames

i asked them to put it in my foot and they did so then i could play games unimpeded
