exactly.
Tbh it seems like he pretty much only likes Mario 3d platformers and Zelda
And not really much else besides that
But he isn't just saying that he is like using that as a reason to criticize Nintendo as a whole

yes.
and thats why mario hates him and he is a gay bowser
jumpman go brr

A spinoff is not an inherently bad thing they are fully polished good games
U don't even know cus u can't play them
It's not an inherently bad thing, just not particularly exciting to me. And like you said, the console is selling well. I understand why Nintendo is doing what they're doing. It's working for them. I guess as far as nintendo goes I'd probably want any of these:
New first party IP that isn't ass (splatoon was a decent example of this)
Star Fox game that isn't another remake of S64
New 2D Metroid, one coming soon apparently and those have been good
New 3D sandbox Mario
New top down Zelda that isn't a remake (Echoes of wisdom counts I guess, though I'm really not a fan of that art style and it was on Switch 1)
New 3D Zelda, though I don't expect that til end of console life
New Pikman entries are always welcome, though 4 just came out 3 years ago so I'm not holding my breath
Some of the recent Yoshi games have been decent, hopefully the new one is good
New Paper Mario that isn't buns
Bring back mainline f-zero, low priority for me but would be cool
I think the Mario & Luigi franchise is dead since the studio is gone but I liked those games
I don't care about modern pokemon at all, I'm not a big fan of recent Kirby games
Bottom line though, I'm okay with playing most, if not all of those way down the line. The only ones that would make me actually buy the console would be at least three of these: 3D Mario, 3D Zelda, top down Zelda, amazing new IP, new Star Fox that isn't ass. Anything else just isn't worth the investment for me when I have plenty of other nintendo games from previous generations to catch up on.

All I got out of this is that you want a bunch of stuff that isn't more of a system seller than the games that are coming out
Or
Mario or zelda
And that you don't like Kirby so there's not even a point to the discussion anymore because that sucks

imagine not liking kirby
Like yeah they have no system sellers we need that new f zero?
Get real
Like yeah they have no system sellers we need that new f zero?
You're mad and you don't read
bruises is cooking you
They hate me because I speak the truth
wii u was an amazing console
I've got love for it
mario kart world is the most mechanically advanced and highest skill ceiling mario kart of all time
no mario kart game is like it
I'm happy for the competitive mario kart scene
He has the best habit of starting out his anti Nintendo posts with the most insane take
And then following that insane take with a book of text
So u know when to skip
I put my thoughts out there in explicit detail
You get upset, interpret them in the least charitable way possible and proceed to misrepresent them in your next post
You're mad and you don't read
Dude I read it
U and ur friends couldn't get good at the grinding mechanic in Mario kart world so Nintendo sucks now because no zelda
It's not convincing

NO UR NOT
U DONT LOVE SHORTCAT

Bottom line
I like Nintendo games, I'll play a lot of them if I already own the console, but I can get my general Nintendo fix by playing any of the hundreds of old Nintendo games I haven't played yet
To get me into that new console ecosystem, there's gotta be something I absolutely can't miss, which yes, usually is a major Mario or Zelda title. Those come around once a decade and I'm okay with waiting for them and playing Nintendo's 1983-2024 catalogue in the meantime. That, OR a cool new console gimmick, which clearly isn't necessary because the Switch concept is a winner.
But in my humblest opinion, Nintendo does lose a lot of its aura, at least for me personally, when it recycles the same console idea and no longer has me on the edge of my seat for game announcements. I know I'm not alone in that, but I also don't want to piss on anyone else's parade. But you said my Chinese DS doesn't have aura and I couldn't take that standing down.
so does new kirby
I haven't tried Kirby and the Forgotten Land, I'll probably give it a go at some point.

Nintendo fans have been asking Nintendo stop relying on a new gimmick for more than a decade at this point
And they begged Nintendo to just release an enhanced sequel to the switch
So it does seem like a weird outsider perspective to me yeah

You don't have to rely on a new gimmick, but if you execute it well like the Switch 1 and have genre defining games ready to go from the jump, it certainly helps
And like I've said, I totally understand why they did Switch 2, and I wasn't punching air when it got announced or anything. It was the right and expected decision. Switch 2 is solid console.
Recycling the Switch idea doesn't make them a bad console manufacturer, it just makes them a normal one, when they used to be mindblowing. And that may have been unavoidable with the way the industry is these days. We're probably hitting a plateau on what games and gaming consoles can be, all while it becomes more expensive and time-consuming to develop the software and hardware. There really may not be that much more "wow" out there.
Who knows, maybe the next Nintendo console will rope me back in. I'll probably get a Switch 2 regardless at some point down the line, I just don't put them on the same pedestal that I used to.

And if Nintendo continues to make super solid games on a solid console, with the occasional masterpiece, that's not a bad spot to be in
It's just not the version of Nintendo I feel like I experienced for most of my life
And maybe I was just a kid / teen so I was easier to excite

Yeah we just have a completely different taste in Nintendo stuff I guess and what makes them have their "aura" is different
The gimmicks were never the main appeal of Nintendo consoles for me
The games were
They stumbled upon the perfect "gimmick" with the switch and they keep delivering on great games so them doing more of that is what I prefer
