So, during my training they were going over what policy considers hate speech. Basically, the company refers to whatever ADL has listed as hate speech, and me, knowing a fun fact, brought up how Pepe is listed on there so I asked if he was not to pass through. They said, “hmm, we’ll get back to you on that”. The next day, they bring up how they had a mod team meeting and wrote into policy how Pepe was now banned from the platform. They eventually reversed this decision within a matter of a few months but it’s still funny how a dumb question resulted in me killing the internet frog temporarily.
