pigeons the ultimate victim of this

they were domesticated 10s of thousands of years before most other domesticated animals.

and like 80 years ago we abandoned them.

Idk if you've seen the wire

But in that show there's a cruel character named Marlo and he keeps a pigeon coop and pays someone to take care of them which is out of character because he's a sociopath and evil

And I think the reason for this is symbolic of how the way we treat pigeons aligns with how we treat people suffering in less privileged communities

We forced them into their environment once they were unwanted, and now they are treated as a problem/a nuisance because of how they have adapted to the circumstances we put them in
