The concept of being able to grind to make more money is also something they are actively trying to fight against and limit as well
So basically everyone (the majority) is stuck in hell until we die because the results of the class war were decided before we were even born
This exactly what I complain about to ppl irl and they’re like well yeah but what can you do. It makes me want to do absolutely nothing bc it Doenst matter what i do
europe would eat u alive

i paid them to finish the job... b******s finessed me
i feel like at this point ur paying for the labor and material over the quality
You definitely are to some degree, but diminishing returns on headphones start at a much higher price than it does with IEMs, and diminishing returns on speakers starts at a much higher price than it does with headphones
Like engineering-wise there's only so much you can do with small drivers and chasis, but as the drivers and chasis get bigger (earbuds -> IEMs -> headphones -> speakers), you have more s*** you can actually improve
Think about it like this: Some people buy/build really nice RCA cars, but no matter what you do, you can never make a really nice RCA car into a really nice Go-Kart. And you can never make a really nice Go-Kart into an Italian supercar

Peaceful vibes

she thinks she's an activist
Trying to get my sleeping pattern back in order before holidays are over but wide awake
Maybe these Rangy headphones posts will do the trick
Do you ever think maybe your setup is fine and to stop spending money on it
my setup is more than fine and believe it or not I actually haven't spent that much on it all things considered. Probably like $3400 total over the course of 5 years, maybe closer to $4000 if you count the tube collection
spending less than $800 a year on a hobby seems perfectly reasonable to me
China seems ideal bc like if you’re gonna have capitalism at least benefit from it
America is just all of the negatives of capitalism with all of the downsides hardly any benefit unless youre rich

There are actions you can take to improve your immediate situation but as far as making a meaningful difference if you don't have connections or you don't get lucky or you have any outside factors limiting you it's nearly impossible by design
Not because the upper class is like evil and hates you but they just don't consider you at all like not even a little and they never have to even see you or interact with you unless they go and do it by choice, usually in ways to make them feel good about themselves by doing the bare minimum
Think imma get a cat

I've spent more than that, but I've also sold most of the s*** I've ever bought, so I was going for a rough number spent on the stuff I still own
A lot of the hobby is buying s***, testing it, and returning/selling it lol.
If we're talking raw cash spent, we're probably looking at over twice that at least, but I also got a ton of that money back because audio gear holds its value nicely
