I think it makes sense if you’re looking at it from the perspective of “jail or lifetime in a psych ward” cause either way she’s out of society and it’s kind of a different conversation.
But genuinely here there is no reason to keep her admitted if she gets an insanity plea because the thing that was making her insane is no longer relevant and wouldn’t be again unless she gets pregnant

i think if you commit murder or ow shes chopping me cocky during a psychosis, you shoudlnt walk away after a month because youre not in it anymore lol
obviously you shoudl serve out a large portion of what would be your prison sentence in a ward, because the risk of it coming back is always there and youre too much of a danger to society to take the chance
