I never really go back to garden snakes tbh. Improve the way more completed thought out song imo.
I actually love that bass choice. Makes it feel so heavy
Glad I'm not alone thinking this
wish the song had a better mix its not a awful mix just the guitar and bass should shine way more imo. but its a nice song tho.
Talk to me about the concept of Divine Feminine. I know that when I first started hearing about the project, you were trying to sneak it out secretly as an EP. How’d that blow up into a full album?
There’s so many different journeys of what the Divine Feminine was and is. At one point it was a story about robots taking over the world and one girl being like Neo in The Matrix.
Edit:
Y'all know what I'm thinking @Bill_My_Zoot
u think anywhere but here could fit into the original concept of the album?
im sure uber wasn't supposed to have a mike Jones verse originally lol. sounds like it was going to have a female feature considering mac ends his verse "She got her own story; just let the b**** explain it" and there being a empty space for a verse there on the og.
Maybe SZA was originally gonna be on it considering the song was next to the song that changed everything at one point
u think anywhere but here could fit into the original concept of the album?
I honestly don't know.
Edit:You know what, maybe. What I get from the song is that the girl in question is dancing away the pain and she doesn't like the place she found herself in.
Who knows maybe it would've been one of the first chapters of the concept
Hide And Seek ain't bad at all.
Grateful songs are still coming out but this wave of love songs coming from different eras does nothing for me
just noticed some of the cadence and flow in the first verse of anywhere but here got reused on Cinderella
"ask herself if she gon' have something today
How easily she changed
She wear so many faces, but she wanna stay the same, yeah
And everybody think she playin' games
Yeah, that pretty smile hidin' all her pain"
exact same cadence and flow as
"It look like Dorothy ain't in Kansas anymore
I do you like a chore
We started on the bed and then we moved onto the floor
Now you always wanna spend the night
Now I'm doing everything you like"
I am very satisfied with Earth as a Future and Mac collaboration
As well am I. Futures flow is perfect.
Woods is so f***ing good
Top 3 off Circles for sure
Also it has that ID Labs feel that always clicked perfectly with Mac's vocals
Shout-out E. Dan
As a Mac stan for life I don't f*** with the spreading around of leaks
The only negative to it I see is the fact his family doesn’t profit from it. It’s a big negative, but There will always be a market for it especially wih him no longer being with us. Way I see it it’s fair game on either side to not listen or to listen just as long as you can understand the other side without arguing. Hell even I was pretty anti leak for a few weeks after circles release just because they weren’t matching final product level
I'm getting my BA this year and I still remember bumping Mac on my first day of high-school, on my last day as a senior
This man's music has been with me every day of my life literally ever since I found out about him on 2009, up to today
All I have to say is that I wish there was a way I could thank him for everything he has done for me through his music
Mac will forever be my hero.

Mac always shared the ideology of things being bigger than us. Why stress over things bigger than us, out of our control. I would bet every dollar that if we could ask Mac right now with him being gone would he be fine with his music leaking he’d say yes, and that’s because the music he made is bigger than him being gone. He did it to capture emotion, and for the love of the craft
