i’m fine w ppl discrediting conor for his fall off (unlike some mcgregor fans) but to be personally legacy isn’t the end all be all, still think individual skillsets matter more than legacy when just discussing that skillset

I believe a lot of you, and this is not shade and not really directly at you, got into the sport around when Conor took off. So in that regard, I can understand why people overrate him. A form of nostalgia even though it was just yesterday. People can’t let it go.

I mean. If i’m building a fighter that can go about 1.5 rds, has no real cardio, no offensive wrestling, meh tdd, panics under any grappling pressure, clearly doesn’t know how to check a leg kick, relies heavy on his left hand, etc….then yeah I guess he has the perfect skillset.

There have been great boxers in the UFC before. Just because they let him get smoked by Floyd doesn’t mean he eas the best the soort had to offer. I’d probably ride with the Diaz bros, JDS, Stipe, Cody Garbrandt, for sure Holly, etc…& those are just within recent memory. I think even his boxing was overrated lol
