cruz has to win by work rate and pushing the pace. munhoz is the harder hitter and is good enough to defend the takedowns, imo. cruz will have to stay busy on the feet and then push the takedowns even if hes unsuccessful

Nah, Edgar got 18 seconds of control on like 8 takedown attempts. He should mix them in for variety's sake, but if Munhoz can't kick his rear leg and headhunts Cruz could def outland him

This is all assuming Munhoz doesn't kick the right leg, doesn't throw enough body punches, Cruz doesn't spontaneously combust, etc

the older and slower you get, 90% of the time the fights get dirtier and tougher each time. you have to rely on your toughness a little more once the speed, strength and reflexes start to decline. toughness and work rate is how cruz is gonna win most of his fights from now on, imo.

i havent watched his latest fight since it happened, but i wasn't too impressed. munhoz isnt gonna headhunt i dont think, i think he'll go to the body and legs. he knows cruz doesn't have the punching power to stop him, dude can throw caution to the wind whenever during the fight and not risk getting stopped

I think Munhoz threw less than 20 body punches against Aldo- who Font cooked to the body. Cruz is great about withdrawing his lead leg. Cejudo had to feint him to the cage, wait for him to withdraw and kick his rear leg. Kenney had to parry Cruz's kicks and then counter kick. Munhoz prob too slow to do that.

I think Munhoz could win easily, but I'm not sure if he will. So many people have just chased Cruz's head.
