Masvidal built his platform in a year.
Not Conor's fault they don't know how to put themselves out there.
Masvidal has been fighting for 16 years and it took him lucking into a fight with Darren Till & knocking him out to get that ball rolling. To really get himself out there was knocking Ben Askren out in 5 seconds with a flying knee. You said this s*** like everyone can do this things, has this kind of booking & luck.
Everybody doesn't have the #3 contender who is a popular name to propel themselves off of neither can they knock somebody out.
What about all the fighters with no knockout power or striking isn't their best attribute that can't do that? What about the fighters that don't have good english? What about the fighters who don't have popular names in their division to make a name off of anyways? You said all of this forgetting fighters are cucked by the UFC when it comes to sponsorship and things they can do.
You making a whole ass excuse for why MMA fighters don't have better base pay and none of them work.
The UFC machine getting behind you can and is a make or break difference. Woodley is out here hustling off his own back, regardless of what you think of some of his moves it's not easy. If UFC had backed him as a champion who is unproblematic and also just a good dude they'd have someone who is a great rep for the sport in the mainstream. People screaming his fights were trash - no, dude and his team put on well gameplanned, technical fights. UFC had a chance to really hype up the elite level technical aspect of the game which adds a different layer of legitimacy to the sport. Same way people will respect the technical well planned efforts of a fighter in boxing lol. Dana opted to s*** on a guy who could be a staple draw for him though.
UFC can't find anything to hype up about Nunes? You're telling me that between LGBT people, Spanish speaking people in the US and the whole of Latin America they can't find a way to market her? lol
Nunes don't even speak spanish, she's Brazilian and it doesn't have the same dedicated appeal outside of Portugal.
Somebody the UFC really failed with is Tony Ferguson. Mexican-American. 12 fight win streak, like half those fights were FOTN, the other half got a performance or knockout/sub bonus. Putting on the most entertaining fights in his division.
UFC clearly doesn't like him and thanks to how the UFC is setup he can't get there on his own.
In this game you gotta market yourself when the company doesn't push you or doesn't do it enough.
Why are you telling me this when Woodley literally does this and despite that won’t even get a small boost from the ufc?
"They can get themselves out there and build their platform"
Fool, Cowboy make $200k. Don't put the blame on his management, the fact that number was proposed to him when the other name on the contract is Conor McGregor tells you all you need to know.
When guys signed up to fight Floyd they got the biggest paydays of their career by a mile.
You sign up to fight Conor you get what you've been getting.
S*** is comedy lmao

Masvidal himself said he was thinking of retirement before the Till fight.
My point still stands.
He pushed himself out there to more casuals after the Till fight. The Askren KO pushed him even further. I don't know why this is a discussion.

Your point doesn't stand because Masvidal struck lightening in a bottle.
Every fighter can't do that.
So what is your solution for 99% of the UFC roster?

99% of the roster ain't gonna make it, that's the harsh reality.
That's kind of impossible, actually.
For example the 12th dude on the bench for the Knicks ain't gonna get the type of attention LeBron gets just because he's on the Knicks. You can't blame Adam Silver because the bum on the Knicks bench can't get 35/10/10 on a given night.
I know I gave a really complex example with the NBA, cause basketball players have endorsement deals, something UFC fighters can't have anymore, but you get my point.

The 12th dude on the bench still makes more than the average population, which is what we're talking about.
Anyways in the end Conor ain't really do s*** for other fighters so praising him as an MMA fighter doing xyz really doesn't matter. He could've been an actual trailblazer but he's too busy calling his coworkers broke boyz.

Like I said, Conor can't or isn't gonna do much to raise everyone's pay, but he's putting the blueprint out there for the other fighters to follow.

Advocating to extend the Ali Act to MMA fighters would cost him $0 and would most likely get it done.
The way you okay with this nigga being a hypocrite. This is someone who was on welfare.
And both Proper Twelve & whatever that mezscal is corny as F***.

I said it before, Conor might not be the one to do it. The sport is young, there's always someone that can come after him to get the Ali act into the sport.
I feel like you and World coming for my throat like this after my simple post earlier today is because y'all hate Conor's guts.
But that's okay, I can counter y'all all day.
