Album out very hard

Oh my god she did it again.

The new album shows Moor Mother in top form. Poetic, observant, insightful. Her presence is commanding and her lyrics are unapologetic.

Olof is masterful here. His production is industrial but not too noisy. Spacious but still warm. Airy but not light. Electronic but still human.

Each collaborator understood the assignment. Their vocals add to the album in such a beautiful way.

Give this woman her credit. She crafted an album that is more approachable than any of her other solo work, without compromising her vision. Boss s***‼️

Rly like the album, need more spins tho. Def feels like one you can revisit a lot

Also anyone else hear some Moor Mother influence on Smoke Don't Clear from the new IR album? Vocal delivery Def gives me those vibes

God DAMN I am so ready for these two other records.

Been growing on me heavily with each listen. At first it felt almost too subdued to me. But keep getting pulled back to wanting to listen again and again.

Super well sequenced. Loved Zami when I heard it as a single but it really hits even harder in the context of the album. The closer is so powerful. And the production on Shekere is gorgeous.

Going to check this out today. I've been on a lot of easy listening music and that's probably not healthy for the reality coming. I have to prepare for spiritual warfare.
