Its alright to be inspired by other producers but its more important to develop your own sound

Bruh so you don't hear that 🎶bong-bong🎶 at the start of each bar ?? That's the sound I'm talking about. I don't know what the instrument is. Sounds like a bell or wood drum

  • Alright guys I found it. It's the sound at 1:30

Would it be a good idea to put my beats out on Airbit / Beatstars as free downloads at first to attract more people?

No. IMO it devalues your work when I see it as free, shows that you don't trust yourself.

You should have full confidence that your product is worth something. Even if you have 0 followers. Just be patient, if you're good enough time will come.

I wish it was easier to sell gear and software. People keep trying to scam me online by saying they can't pay now but they'll pay double next week lmao...

I don't make type beats, I just don't know how to market my work because I don't have 1 genre or sound

This is a bad take. Nothing is ever really "free" when it comes to selling beats online. There's more ways than just selling the beat upfront to get value from it.

For example would you rather sell a beat for $100 or would you rather let people download it for free in exchange for their email and build a huge email list of people who are interested in your beats which will allow you to interact and sell to them other beats directly? If you manage to get 1000 emails and only 1% of them buy a beat you're making 10 sales vs the 1 sale.

Studio monitors, a microphone, an audio interface, headphones, amps, guitars and a bass

    Too much software to list
