just made every MMG song from the early 10s
Haha, a throwback to the Lex Luger days. I always loved these types of beats. Do you think a Wondagurl/Kenny Beats type of ultra punchy kick would modernize it a bit? I'd be interested to hear what it'd sound like with that and some really wet brass.
Yo the new Weeknd song Hardest to Love has jungle drums in it
Nice to see them make the mainstream
Yea when I heard it I was only oh s*** a drum n bass song
Best song of the album

Ill try that, i usually use the same few kicks that work for any style but I definitely wanna modernize it a bit

Anyone in here start producing without knowing how to play an instrument, then transitioned to one?
Id like to pick up playing the piano by buying a keyboard, but im not sure if the investment is worth it. How would it benefit my music making abilities? (Might be a dumb question but im willing to be dumb)

I'm on the same path bro. I've really been debating learning the piano or just music theory in general. My thoughts on it is, since I want to be a professional, on some still doing this years later, then learning will benefit me.
It's tricky because at the same time, I feel like I'm getting by okay (even though I've made 0 dollars).
Also that s*** is frustrating as f*** to learn. But think I will learn it eventually.
Drake type loop with the In My Room drums.
Props man, this is some dope s***.
I noticed on most of your beats really nail what kind of vibe you going for. I need to learn how to do that. I always end up going into the land of the unknown and making some weird s***.
And I ain't sure if it's your personal style but it kinda sounds like that snare is hitting a little too loudly, it ain't playing nice with the other elements of your beat.

Thanks bro! Idk man its like this natural thing for me, I can make like any genre I listen to, I can stay in one place lol.
And yeah i usually try to prevent the snares from being too loud, so I'll check it out.

Feel that broski. I think imma sell my Akai and go for a keyboard. Makes the most sense for what i want to do. My melodies are pretty right imo but I dont want to keep doing the same things, so i gotta work on my chords and progression. Best of luck to you my dude ๐ค๐พ
